I was born and raised in Nashville long before the days of hot chicken & bachelorette parties on Broadway. School and ministry stints took me to other states but I boomeranged back home in 2000. We planted ourselves in the Bellevue area and have stayed put.
My amazing wife and I have 4 awesome children and 4 even more awesome grandchildren.
We enjoy traveling and try to spend a few weeks in Mexico every year for the sunshine, coconut shrimp & mango mambas (a trifecta for marital bliss).
I am a nondenonmiational minister. Ministry is all I have ever done. I completed a Masters of Theology degree as well as doctoral level work in ministry. But don’t worry….I won’t give you a lecture on the finer points of existentialism.
Helping couples tie the knot has been the cherry on the top of my ministerial sundae. Weddings are among the happiest times of people’s lives, and it’s nice to be a part of that. I’ve seen more heart-warming moments than in a Hallmark movie marathon. Plus, I get to visit some beautiful and interesting places.
The best compliment is when couples tell me that their guests asked if I was their long lost uncle Frank or their family minister. Not that we are trying to pull a fast one, but I suppose the ceremony just feels genuine & heartfelt.
